Quality of Thoughts

“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts”

~ Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor and Philosopher – 121-180 AD

This is largely true however happiness is more-so governed by self-awareness and reaction to one’s thoughts.

We are a product of our environment with the environment being the stimuli for our thoughts.

We have around 60,000 thoughts per day, with roughly 90% previously being experienced.

Letting present results dictate your thinking will inevitably create more of the same outcome.

As Albert Einstein once said;

‘‘The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results’’.

This is where self-awareness is paramount.

Some situations don’t require your reaction; instead starve that distraction, save that attention, and feed your focus.

To be liberated from a self-perpetuating circle of negative thoughts. We must understand, appreciate and respect the spectrum. This disassociation from ones self and our thought process is essential in preventing it from determining our identity.

Only then can you break free and create a harmonious flow of thoughts to remodel your world.

As Mahatma Gandhi once said:

Your thoughts become your words,

Your words become your behaviour,

Your behaviour become your habits,

Your habits become your values,

Your values become your destiny.
