Respecting Your Privacy
Your privacy is important to The Trustee for Carter Family Trust trading as The Carter Institute (We, Us or Our). This privacy policy sets out how We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information.
By interacting with Us (including enrolling in Our courses or creating an Account with Us), or otherwise providing your personal information to Us, you consent to Us collecting, storing, using and disclosing your personal information in accordance with this policy, or as otherwise disclosed by Us at the time of collection.
We may amend this policy from time to time, and the most current version will be published on Our website. Your continued interaction with Us (including participating in Our courses or using Your Account) or your provision of further personal information to Us once this policy has been amended, will constitute your acceptance of the amended policy.
This policy should be read together with Our Terms, where they have been made available to you.
Collection
The personal information We collect and hold about you will depend on the nature of your interaction with Us, including whether you are a prospective, current or past student. The information will generally include your name and contact details (such as your phone number, address and email address) and any other personal information you provide Us (such as your gender, date of birth, occupation, activities and interests). If you enrol in Our course, the information will also generally include your financial details (such as credit card or bank account details) and your feedback and opinions. We may also collect health information about you (which is “sensitive information” under Australia’s privacy laws). However, We will only collect health information about you with your consent and if it is reasonably necessary for Us to do so, or where We are otherwise authorised by law.
Generally, We collect personal information directly from you. This may occur in a number of ways, including:
Sometimes We collect personal information from a third party or from a publicly available source, but only if you have consented to your information being used in this way, or would reasonably expect Us to collect it in this way. We only collect this information from companies or sources that are allowed to disclose it to Us.
You do not have to provide your personal information to Us if you do not wish to, but if you do not provide all the information We request, We may not be able to provide you with the services or information you have requested.

Where you provide the information directly to our provider, some of that information (for example, what you have purchased) will be provided by them to Us.
